Kristin aka Kris : Saint John turned Grand Manan motobabe, co-founder of The Litas Saint John (formerly New Brunswick) branch and Local Community Host for The Moto Social Saint John. She has been riding for nearly a decade: her first year was split between a 1980 Honda CM400T and a Suzuki Boulevard S40 & she now rides a Harley Davidson XL1200R along with a Honda 230F and a small herd of random minibikes. By day she works part-time in community pharmacy and part time for herself at Ardor Visual, but generally you’ll find her off-roading with her partner in their '88 4Runner, dirtbiking, creating art, off on her next solo bike trip or hosting motorcyclists and pals alike on the island.

At the end of August, 2015, she embarked on a wild journey to The Dream Roll in Washington, but after her 8 hour ride from BC turned nearly 24 hours due to a few too many "bumps in the road," she had to call it quits (only 2 hours from the event grounds). The difficult lonewolf experience she had and her ability to forge on until it finally became unsafe to do so, pushed her to try to inject more life into the local womxn's motorcycle community and create opportunities for similar adventures closer to home. It wasn't until The Litas New Brunswick's December 2015 meet-up that she and Bambi both realized their common desire and began planning for the inaugural Backroad Ball in Summer 2016. The event was so well-received that it became an annual event until a Covid-induced hiatus and now it's finale.

Heather aka Bambi : Maritime motobabe and member of The Litas. She has been riding for over a decade: one year on a Kawasaki Vulcan & the rest on her Harley Sportster. During the day, she works in Communications, but in her downtime she splits hanging with her young daughter and being dressed in leather, sporting a sparkly silver Gringo helmet and riding around on two wheels. When the Backroad Ball was founded Heather heather was living in Moncton, NB but during Covid she happily relocated to Nova Scotia where she gets enjoy living closer to her family and continues to become even closer to the NS riding community.

In October, 2015, she adventured to Babes Ride Out 3 with a fellow Litas NB member. Upon arrival to California, she was graciously welcomed by local motobabes and overcome with joy at the instant comradery before even arriving at the event grounds. After her time in Joshua Tree, she knew there was nothing even remotely close to the atmosphere at the event and the abundance of female empowerment available in Eastern Canada and immediately began scheming up ways to create the same magic closer to home. It wasn't until The Litas New Brunswick's December 2015 meet-up that she and Kris both realized their common desire and began planning for the Summer 2016 event: The Backroad Ball. The event was so well-received that it became an annual event until a Covid-induced hiatus and now it's entering it's final year.
